Master Beekeeper | Inventor | Natural Beekeeping Educator
Nathalie B. is a certified Master Beekeeper with over 14 years of experience working with a wide range of hive styles and a passionate advocate for natural, treatment-free beekeeping. Originally from France and now based in Austin, Texas, she blends her international perspective with deep technical expertise and a gift for innovation.
Nathalie is the founder of Bee-Mindful.com, a thriving beekeeping school and farm offering apprenticeships, workshops, AG exemption services, and her own line of ergonomic horizontal top-bar hives. Her redesign of Les Crowder’s hive plans has become a national standard in the U.S., and her patent-pending Flex Hive, which bridges Langstroth and horizontal Top-Bar Hives, was developed to make sustainable beekeeping more accessible and adaptable.
A respected voice in the beekeeping world, Nathalie is President of the Texas Natural Beekeepers Association, a contributor to the American Bee Journal, and co-host of the popular “Hive Jive” podcast. She also founded the World Bee Day Natural Beekeeping Webinar and previously served as a Director for the Texas Beekeepers Association and Chair of the Real Texas Honey nonprofit.
Her commitment to community outreach has led her to create teaching apiaries and free training programs for refugees in Congo, Nigeria, and Texas, empowering people to create sustainable livelihoods through beekeeping.
In 2025, Nathalie will present two topics at Apimondia in Copenhagen, sharing her Flex Hive innovation and furthering the global conversation around natural, accessible beekeeping.
